Instead of large commercial boats, you'll navigate the Douro waters on a classic wooden boat. We trade massive tourist wineries for an intimate tasting at Quinta de Santa Eufémia, explore a traditional olive oil mill, and sit down for a real, home-style regional lunch at Quinta de Fornelos. Itinerary
09:00 – Hotel Pick-up
We pick you up at your hotel and head straight to the Douro Valley. (Pick-up is at 08:00 if you are staying in Porto).
10:30 – Classic Douro River Cruise
A 1-hour cruise along the waters of the Douro River on a classic wooden boat. You get unobstructed, panoramic views of the terraced vineyards, away from the typical crowds.
12:00 – Wine Tasting at Quinta de Santa Eufémia
A guided visit to a family-owned wine estate. You'll taste 4 selected Douro wines and get a real understanding of how they are produced.
13:15 – Olive Oil Mill Visit & Tasting
We stop at a traditional olive oil mill to see how the production works firsthand, followed by a tasting of their premium local olive oils.
14:30 – Wine-Paired Lunch at Quinta de Fornelos
Time for a proper meal. We sit down at Quinta de Fornelos for an elegant but truly regional lunch, featuring local dishes paired directly with the estate’s own wines.
17:00 – End of the Experience
We drop you off at your hotel after a full, well-spent day in the Douro Valley.
